\tfrac{a}{b}

The \tfrac{a}{b} command in LaTeX is used to create a fraction where 'a' is the numerator and 'b' is the denominator. This command is typically used in inline math mode to create smaller fractions that fit well within the line of text, as opposed to \frac{a}{b} which is used for larger fractions in display math mode.
