\supset

The symbol \supset is used to denote a superset relation in set theory. It indicates that one set contains all the elements of another set, but may also contain additional elements.

Examples

Set A is a superset of set B, meaning A contains all elements of B.

A \supset B

The set \{1, 2, 3\} is a superset of the set \{2, 3\}.

\{1, 2, 3\} \supset \{2, 3\}

Set X is a superset of set Y, and set Y is a superset of set Z.

X \supseteq Y \supset Z
