\omega

The Greek letter omega (\omega) is often used in mathematics and science to represent a variety of concepts, such as angular frequency in physics, the last element in a sequence, or the set of all natural numbers in set theory. It is the 24th and last letter of the Greek alphabet.

Examples

Angular frequency in physics, where \omega represents the angular frequency and f is the frequency.

\omega = 2\pi f

An element \omega belonging to the sample space \Omega in probability theory.

\omega \in \Omega

The limit of a sequence a_n as n approaches infinity, where \omega represents the limiting value.

\lim_{n \to \infty} a_n = \omega
